Lying approximately 2.5 miles from Hall Farm, Dovedale is a National Trust area, famed for its stepping stones.
The fabulous panoramic views that reward climbers who tackle the steep but accessible slope to the summit of Thorpe Cloud make it a popular spot with tourists. There is parking half a mile (of flat paved path) from the stepping stones on or they can be easily reached on foot from the quaint villages of Milldale or Ilam. We fully recommend a visit during your stay.
